Presets

Presets

Presets are saved multi-step run programmes. Instead of manually starting one run at a time, a preset automatically moves through several steps in sequence — each with its own RPM target and duration. When one step finishes, the next one starts automatically.

You need Preset Access or Full Access permissions to use this page. If you do not see the Presets section or the buttons are greyed out, ask your device owner to grant you preset access.

The Presets Page

Navigate to Presets from the top navigation. You will see a grid of preset cards, one for each saved programme.

Each card shows:

ElementWhat it means
Preset nameThe name you gave this programme
Step count badgeHow many steps are in the programme (e.g. 4 steps)
Timeline barA coloured bar where each colour segment represents one step. Wider segments = longer steps
Steps listEach step listed with its RPM, duration, and optional label (e.g. ● 3000 RPM · 5m 30s · Warm up)
Summary lineTotal RCF and total run time

Running a Preset

On any preset card, click ▶ Run.

The machine will immediately start executing the programme. You can watch progress on the Control Dashboard — the preset banner at the top shows which step you are on and how much time is left in that step.

To stop a running preset, click ⏹ Stop Preset in the banner.

Creating a Preset

Click "+ New Preset"

The button is at the top right of the Presets page. A modal window opens.

Give the preset a name

Type a name in the Preset Name field (up to 40 characters). Choose something descriptive, like Protein Wash — 3 steps.

Add steps

Click + Add Step to add the first step. For each step, fill in:

FieldWhat to enter
RPMSpeed for this step (0–5,400 RPM)
MinutesDuration in minutes
SecondsDuration in seconds (0–59)
Label (optional)A short name for the step, e.g. Warm up or High spin

Add as many steps as you need. The timeline bar at the bottom of the modal updates in real time to show you how the steps are proportioned.

Reorder steps

Use the ▲ and ▼ arrow buttons on each step row to move steps up or down.

Save the preset

Click Create Preset. The modal closes and your new preset card appears in the grid.

Editing a Preset

On a preset card, click ✎ Edit. The same modal opens with the current values pre-filled. Make your changes and click Save Changes.

Deleting a Preset

On a preset card, click 🗑 Delete. You will be asked to confirm before the preset is permanently deleted.

How a Preset Runs (Step by Step)

When a preset starts, the banner on the dashboard walks through these phases for each step:

  1. Starting… — the machine is beginning to spin up
  2. Ramping to X RPM… — accelerating to the target speed
  3. Holding X RPM — MM:SS left — running at the target speed, counting down

Once the last step finishes, the banner shows a green "Preset complete" message. If you stopped it early, it shows amber "Preset stopped".

Tips

  • You can run a preset directly from the preset chips row at the bottom of the Control Dashboard without going to the Presets page.
  • Keep labels short — they are shown inside the coloured timeline segments.
  • Steps must each have a duration of at least 1 second.
