Connect & Log In
The Centrifuge mobile app lets you control and monitor your centrifuge from your phone. Before you can log in, your phone needs to know which device to connect to.
First Time: Set Up Your Device
When you open the app for the first time (or after logging out), you will see the Login screen. If your phone has not connected to a device before, tap "New device? Provision it here →" at the bottom.
Connect Using a Serial Number
If your centrifuge is already on the network and registered:
Tap "Serial Number" tab
This is the default tab on the Connect screen.
Enter the device serial number
Type the serial number shown on the OLED display of your centrifuge. Example: CFG-202605-0001
Hint text on screen says: "Find the serial on the OLED display of your centrifuge"
Tap "Connect →"
The app contacts the server to verify the serial. If found, it takes you to the Login screen ready to sign in. If not found, you will see: "Serial not found. Register the device first using the Provision tab."
Register an Owner Account
If this is a new device, after it is found on the network you will be taken through a 4-step registration:
Step 1 — Verify Your Device
The serial number is already filled in. Enter the Software Key that came with your centrifuge and tap Verify Device.
Step 2 — Your Details
Fill in your account information:

Tap Next.
Step 3 — Lab Information

Tap Send OTP & Continue.
Step 4 — Verify Email
A 6-digit code is sent to your email. Enter it in the box and tap Submit & Register.
Step 5 — Waiting for Approval
After submitting, you see a spinner with the message "Your account is awaiting approval from the administrator."
The app checks every 5 seconds. When your account is approved, it navigates automatically to the Login screen. You can also tap Check Login Manually to skip waiting.
Logging In
On the Login screen:

Toggle Remember Me to save your serial and username for next time.
Tap LOG IN. If successful, you will see a brief "Connected to device" toast and then the main Dashboard.
Login Errors
| Error message | What it means |
|---|---|
| Another user is already logged in | Someone else is currently logged into this device. Wait or ask them to log out. |
| Invalid credentials | Wrong username or password. Check both and try again. |
| Serial number not found on server | The serial is not registered. Use the Provision tab to set it up. |
| Cannot reach server | Your phone cannot reach the Centrifuge server. Check your internet or WiFi connection. |
Forgot Your Password?
Tap Forgot password? on the Login screen. You will see an information screen explaining your options:
- If you are an operator — ask the device owner to reset your password from the Admin Controls screen
- If you are the device owner — contact support with your serial number for a manual reset
