Presets
Presets are saved multi-step run programmes. Instead of manually setting speed and time for each run, a preset moves through a series of steps automatically — each with its own RPM and duration.
Presets you create in the app are synced with the web portal, and vice versa.
You need Preset Access or Full Access permission to use this screen. If you cannot see the Presets tab or get a permission message, ask your device owner to enable preset access for your account.
The Presets Screen
Tap the Presets tab in the bottom navigation.
You will see a list of preset cards. Each card shows:
| Element | What it means |
|---|---|
| Preset name | The name of the programme |
| Step count badge | How many steps (e.g. 4 steps) |
| Timeline bar | Coloured bar where each colour = one step. Wider = longer duration |
| Steps list | Each step with its RPM, duration, and optional label |
| Summary line | Total ×g and total duration |
Running a Preset
On any preset card, tap ▶ Run. The preset starts immediately and you are taken to the Dashboard where the preset banner shows your progress.
You can also tap a preset chip directly from the presets row on the Dashboard.
Creating a Preset
Tap the blue + button (floating, bottom right of the screen). A modal sheet slides up.
Enter a name
Type a name for your preset (up to 40 characters). Example: Cell Wash Protocol.
Add steps
Tap + Add Step. For each step:
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| RPM | Speed for this step (0–5,400) |
| Minutes | Duration in minutes |
| Seconds | Duration in seconds (0–59) |
| Label (optional) | A short description, e.g. Warm up |
Add as many steps as needed.
Reorder steps
Tap ▲ or ▼ on any step row to move it up or down.
Save
Tap Save. The modal closes and your new preset card appears in the list.
Editing a Preset
On a preset card, tap the ✎ edit icon. The same modal opens with the current values. Make your changes and tap Update.
Deleting a Preset
On a preset card, tap the 🗑 delete icon. A confirmation prompt appears. Tap Delete to confirm.
Tips
- The timeline bar updates in real time as you add or adjust steps — use it to visualise how your protocol is proportioned.
- Step labels appear inside the coloured segments of the timeline bar (if there is enough space).
- All steps must have a duration of at least 1 second.
- Presets sync automatically with the web portal — you do not need to recreate them on the web.
